We first saw each other in 2017, at our faculty Christian fellowship event. Celine was a freshman and William was in his third year, being a group discussion leader. Celine's first impression of William is that he is arrogant (based on how he dressed, his hairstyle, and his smirk), someone she would never be able to get close to. And William overlooked Celine. Celine's impression lasted for 1 year until we got to know each other better by serving together in a student retreat for 3 months.

During this period, William began to look at Celine as she is passionate about Christ and pays attention to others. One month after the retreat, we began to be closer starting from the Christmas service. Three months later, we attended a seminar held by GRII on "The Secrets of Christian Dating and Marriage," and two days after that, we started dating.

During the COVID pandemic, we slightly drifted apart because of the lockdown and from doing our paper and thesis. When we met again after almost 2 years, it was a bit awkward. But thank God, we were still together and "restarted" our relationship. In 2022, we had a brief discussion to get married in 2025. From that moment onwards, we have better communication, open up to each other, develop a more mature relationship, and help each other grow in Christ. By the grace of God, we've started preparing seriously in 2024 to embrace our marriage life.
